How TalkHQ
Speech Pathology
came to be.
TalkHQ Owners, Jenna Mottin and Alex Hartley grew up in the small tight-knit North Queensland community of Ayr. Despite this, their lives took different paths before they eventually came together at different chapters of the TalkHQ story.
TalkHQ started in Ayr in May 2012 with the vision to grow to other locations to enable greater access to high-quality speech pathology services for rural and regional families.

In 2018, TalkHQ Speech Pathology received the North Queensland Chambers Business Champion Award for outstanding contribution to the regional community.
TalkHQ was also a finalist in the Employees Choice and Business Community award categories. In the very same year, TalkHQ Speech Pathology became one of the 100 Faces of Small Business in Queensland. In 2023, TalkHQ was a Queensland State Finalist for the “Championing Health” category in the Telstra Best of Business Awards.
The strength of TalkHQ as a business is a reflection of the team as a whole. TalkHQ has continued to attract value-aligned team members over it’s many years of operating. One of the main reasons our speech pathology service continues to be able to innovate and grow is the level of team collaboration that occurs as part of our communication systems.
